No SNOW!!!!

What?! No SNOW?! Ok...if it's going to be icky, cold and dreary at least let there be snow. Enough snow I can stay home read a book, work on my own book and drink hot chocolate all day long. :)

Well...now I really do think that my mood is weather related. I just get in a weird crabby mood when there is no sun. I don't know...Could be just a combo of things. Hopefully I will get out of this abyss soon. I don't like myself when I feel this way. And after yesterday...I really don't like myself too much.

At least I did go to the School Board meeting last night to see my friend Katie get her award for being a Horizon winner. (This is a very prestigious award to 1st year teachers.) It is pretty cool that she won. We all know she is awesome and all the hard work she did last year paid off. Now everyone will know she's awesome too. :)

Well...signing off...maybe a piece of chocolate will help. Rummage...Rummage...oh sorry side tracked by chocolate...but I found a piece! ;) Toodles!

Woe is me....

Ok...so I didn't sleep well at all last night. (And no it was not from praying all night for a snow day!) I didn't want to get up this morning as I finally fell asleep about 15 min. before the alarm went off. Is it bad to be praying for a snow day or the end of May?

Don't get me wrong it's not the kids...ok at least not the majority! It's all the extra drama. I think I'm really just ready for warmer weather so I don't have to wear 10 layers of clothing. Run out the door...carefully so not to fall down! Bring on Spring...so maybe the maigraines will stop. (Then it's the allergies...never ending cycle!)

I think it's the Monday Blues and I'll snap out of it soon...about 3pm this afternoon! Hopefully!

Later Gators!

We know who rules the house!

Well...the truth is revealed. We knew that Magnum was laying on the love seat in the family room while we were gone on occasion. He would jump down really quickly like he was in trouble. Oh how times have changed...Dan came home the other day and found Magnum laying on the love seat with his head on my monkey blanket. So he made sure to take a picture because instead of jumping off as soon as Dan opened the door, he just layed there and cracked an eye. :) Here's the proof...we know who really rules the house!

Gotta Love Those Scams That Fish You In

So it's Monday and I am here at work getting ready for the day. I check my email and of course there is a lot of junk in my email. One email catches my eye. It was one about Freelance Writers. Well of course, being the aspiring author that I am, I had to check it out. I'm reading through thinking, "Wow...if this was really true I could work from home or at least have a very nice part time job." I continued reading and the more I read the more I was fished in. Man what a succor I am. So I finally get to the truth...For just $69.95 will send you a list of companies that you can send your resume too. Uhmmmm NOT SO MUCH! I've been down this road before. I got out of the site and deleted the email. I'll just stick to teaching and finishing up my book. :)

By the way...I'm just psyching myself up to let it go to my friend who is going to proofread it for me. I guess I'm a little nervous. Everyone really likes it and I don't doubt it but I guess I'm a little anxious about finding an agent and really putting myself out there. Keep the prayers coming and fingers crossed. It's getting there!

Welcome Back to School....or not!

Well...school has begun again! I can't say I'm a 100% ready for the kiddos today but I'm here! I didn't get much sleep last night and I woke up with the onset of a cold but other than that I'm really happy to be at school today.

I covered a class this morning for another teacher. I was on another hall way and it freaked out some of my students. That was kinda fun....Yeah sure we switched rooms with the computer teacher and so now they will be learning Spanish and we will learn computers. Hee hee....I love it!

Well...here's to the new year! Happy 2009!
